I recently had the pleasure of staying at Rostel Backpackers Hostel during a city trip to Pune, and it was a mixed bag of experiences. The hostel's location is a delight, particularly for those wanting to explore nearby attractions like Bund Garden and Osho Ashram, making it a perfect base for adventurous souls. Upon arrival, I was immediately charmed by the spaciousness of the bungalow and the relaxed atmosphere it offered-a stark contrast to typical hostel settings. The owner was an absolute gem, always available to assist guests and create a welcoming environment. He made us feel right at home, which is something I truly value during my travels. I did encounter a rather unpleasant experience with the hostel's manager, whose brusque demeanor soured my stay considerably. This contradiction left me conflicted, as the cozy, well-maintained rooms-complete with private bathrooms-offered substantial comfort and privacy. Even with this hiccup, the hospitable staff, including Vipul and Laxman, ensured that my needs were met with efficiency and kindness, which I greatly appreciated. The option for à la carte breakfast, featuring vegetarian and halal choices, was a lovely touch, allowing me to start my day on a delightful note. If you're looking for a hub that combines comfort, great hospitality, and accessibility, Rostel Backpackers Hostel has much to offer, though a word of caution regarding the managerial style would be wise.
